I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in early 2003 and had some very odd symptoms which were not associated with thyroid cancer according to the many specialists I saw. I was told it was anxiety and put on medication which did nothing for me.I told the doctors of exactly when this issue started and what triggered it, but none could make a diagnosis or even be bothered with listening to my symptoms- since they had one thing they could treat me  with. In the meantime my quality of life was drastically declining and THAT did make me depressed. But the problem would not let up.  That is when I met doctor Davies! He LISTENED. It may not mean like much, but it made all the difference. I would go to him with my long list of symptoms and go through it meticulously ( this thing was taking up my life - the cancer had become secondary) . I really did not have much hope that he would find what was causing the problem either. To my tired mind, his diagnosis appeared to be un-connected to what I was experiencing and I was pretty dejected. But I was WRONG and what do you know- Dr.Davies had it figured out! I took his advice and was better very soon! 2 years and a number of doctors later -finally someone who had a solution for me. He did not treat me like an idiot like most doctors do.  He explained why it might be happening and why the treatment would work.  I am so very grateful to Dr.Davies
