I am a patient with a defective defribulator who went into the hospital with concerns about the wires twisting and pain in that area. I had been shocked because a wire broke the device malfunctioned and shocked me 13 times a year earlier. Fortunately, the twisted wires were not breaking. I was very rational in dealing with the situation from the moment I walked into the emergency room until the moment I woke up in the morning and Dr. Barber said to me
'DON'T YOU EVER COME IN MY ER AGAIN AND PULL THE STUFF YOU PULLED'
As if I was just playing some kind of a game and thought spening the night in the hospital would be fun. I'm only 30 years old. There's plenty of other things I would like to be doing.
He claimed that the nurses and dr's told him that I was hysterical. I believe the Dr. was contacted that evening at an inconvenient time and was not happy that I was not in severe pain before going into the hospital.
This is the first time in my life I have had a Dr. yell and I don't plan to let it happen again.
