Comments for Dr. Bonnie Straka
I was referred to Dr. Straka by my Primary physician when I was 9 months pregnant back in 1995. I had a mole on my arm. She took me the day after seeing my Primary. When she examined me, she was very cheerful and upbeat, but she was concerned about the mole. Her schedule that day was jammed, but she squeezed me in between appts to remove it. Long story short, the mole was melanoma. Fortunately for me it had not spread. But, in my opinion, she and my Primary are responsible for saving my life.
Since then she has seen me annually for check-ups. She is always courteous and thorough. She starts every appt visiting with me a few minutes, asking about my family and life in general. She never seems rushed or impatient. She also sees my husband and daughter and has successfully removed moles on them that were non-cancerous.
When I expressed concern about my rosacea, she recommended laser treatments. I also received hair removal via laser treatments. The treatments were a little painful, as I was informed they might be, but they worked. People no longer comment on my red face - because it is no longer red.
The laser treatments were applied by her staff member Doreen who was also professional, caring and compassionate and went the extra mile to set up an appt for me with a breast surgeon when I developed a lump. I highly recommend Dr. Straka and her staff. The office is bright and cheerful and the staff are second to none.
