Comments for Dr. Catherine Deluca
In July of 2006 I began seeing Dr. Catherine DeLuca at Mid Atlantic Family Practice in Lewes, De. During my admission appointment she was given a list of prescriptions I take and she refilled what I needed. On my second appointment, at which we had more time to talk, I told her that I still had some prescriptions that had refills remaining from my previous PCP. I asked if I should have her write new scripts or should I just keep using his refills. She said to use the refills already on the scripts. As they ran out, she would renew them for me. She also refered me to Dr. Somori for pain management of my fibromyalgia, CFS, RLS and other chronic ailments. In mid-September, she kicked me out of the practice, stating that I had been getting prescriptions from more than one pharmacy and from more than one caregiver (siting my former PCP and Dr. Somori, to whom she refered me) and stated that I was exhibiting drug-seeking behaviors. I got a copy of this with my records from the doctor when I was discharged, along with about fifteen pages of records that refute everything upon which she based her dismissing me. Even the office staff researched my case and, for what it's worth, found that I had done nothing untowards. When she was confronted with this error, she refused to review my case and said, essentially, 'Tough beans. She's still out'.
