Comments for Dr. Elizabeth Lai

This Doctor forgot to order extra prescriptions for me on Medicaid.  When I called to ask, she blamed me saying, I should have asked the front desk.  Why didn't she tell me this when I asked her to order them?  Also, I was cut off of Medicaid with no warning.  When I asked her to give me a refill extension on some meds until I could get my insurance worked out she refused, saying she didn't want to put her license at risk.  Because of my weak financial situation, I have had to ask doctors to do this for me from time to time.  This meds were in no way addictive, they just help me to breathe and treat my sinus problems (I have asthma).  She said I had to come back to her (paying) if I wanted more refills.  I believe that 'do no harm' should apply to being able to afford to get the treatment you need.  She showed no concern for my ability to get the treatment that I needed, in addition, she was not on top of my problems.
