I came to this doctor expecting the best. Although she is very nice, I came in one day because I went to urgent care and they told me that my heart was fibrullating too fast. I had had coffee previously to being hooked up to the ekg. I went to ella shadmon a few days later, and she said "based on your symptoms I would say you have severe atrial fibrulation" then she left to go get a machine to measure my heart. I was left alone wondering how I had done this to myself, as it didn't feel right. I thought I was going to die. She came back admistered the machine and said my heart was behaving normally now. (I did NOT have coffee that day). She said to follow up I should get a stress test. It took a while to get an appt for that test, so I had to wait, the whole time Im waiting, Im thinking Im going to die. That was a very stressful time and it was based on what my doctor told me. I think that was terrible bedside manner to tell a patient they had something so serious. Atrial fibrullation is very serious.. it could create a clot in the heart and give the patient a stroke. I was sitting there then and later wondering if I would stroke out. I am young on top of it, and do not even eat meat.. I kept ransacking my brain as to how this could happen to me. The fact that the urgent care doctor sweepingly said "you have afib" and then Shadmon says "You have severe afib" without giving me the test before she says this, is extremely clumsy and bad bedside manner. The doctors have to realize they can't make diagnosis until all is in order and all tests have been conducted THOROUGHLY. I finally took two stress tests, echocardiogram, stress test and was pronounced with a NORMAL HEART!!! ALL THAT WORRY FOR NOTHING! Infuriating. Not to mention that I have another problem and at time I have to get a doctors note, I went to health care partners twice in one week, and because Shadmon was out on maternity leave, I got the most awful, detached, creepy, unprofessional doctor named "dr. Ha". Doctor ha looked me over briefly, barely spent any time with me, told me the other medicine shadmon had recommended to me, was not for the condition I had, and whisked out the room. I constantly marvel at how detached and couldnt care less the attitude is with these doctors. They act like they don't want to know you. So after going 2 times in one week, I called for a note because I was still sick from what I was sick from, and came in person and they wouldnt give me a note, and the doctor Ha wouldnt see me. I talked to this horribly detached, stuck up and rude, very old woman who is the "patient liaison" named Drema, (more like nightmare-a) and she told me that dr. ha wouldnt give me a note. When I pressed as to why, she said my original doctor hadn't seen me in five months. I reminded her that I had just paid to be in twice in one week. She said nothing to this. She claimed Dr. ha knew about this. I couldn't believe how unprofessional they were. I told her it was unacceptable as my employer requires a note when I am out, and will question it. She told me to have them call her. I asked "what will you say" (by this time I realized she was completely unprofessional) with a cold, formalized detachment she said "I don't want to argue with you, I will tell them dr. ha can't write any notes". That was totally unacceptable. I told her I wasn't arguing. My tone of voice wasn't raised, I was asking questions for my benefit, as this had never happened before. This "drema" person was cold as ice, and couldn't care less about me or my problems. She should be fired. Thats my experience at that place. |
