My experience with James Puleo Jr. was that he is either uncaring, unknowledgable or both. He gave me less than a minute on the phone to review the endoscopy/biopsy results and, after I retrieved the reports, I learned that he left out a lot of very important information. He was hurried upon both of my consults with him, and did not respond when I told him my GI symptoms, or give me any time for questions. He looked at me with a blank face! He gave me no more than 4 minutes to discuss my endoscopy/biopsy/blood test results, gave me zero advice, & did not explain anything to me (there was a lot wrong with my digestive track!). I went in there prepared with a few questions that I did not get to address. I have never encountered a doctor with such absence of bedside manner. I do not recommend him and I will not return. When I called for test results, the admin staff told me my results are in but there is no staff nurse to read them to me; they assured me Puleo would call back in 24-48 hours, but he did not. And when he did call back, almost a week later, he provided no helpful advice or concrete findings, but instead he told me to just wait to talk when we meet in another month. Without getting into specifics, this man also reported to my PCP untruths about my medical complaints (he indicated that I mentioned nothing but one complaint when I discussed my GI symptoms in detail), about explaining the risks of the medical procedure (he did not mention risks whatsoever), and more. It was as if he either heard what he wanted to hear, confused me with another patient, or wanted to cover himself and pigeon-hole my problem at his convenience. I feel he is obviously not interested in truly helping his patients. |
