Comments for Dr. John Malfetano

I recently was referred to dr malfetano for cystic mass removal-possible hysterectomy. He was harsh in communicating with me concerning the surgery. He was rude to my family as they visited me postop. No bed side manner-not even the respect to address my dad who was sitting by my bedside. I would not refer anyone to him. The nurses on the floor at Albany Memorial were excellent. When I asked them if Dr Malfetano was always like this-they were professional and said they could not comment-but then came the facial expression that spoke volumes. If you want a personable Dr-who will discuss with you (without the feeling you are pulling teeth and a bother) then go elsewhere! My dad at one point had to leave my hospital room due to this drs disrespect and abrupt manner.

I have been going to Dr. Malfetano for 16 years since being diagnosed with cancer. I think he is very personable and he has always asked how my family is when I see him yearly. Obviously, he knows what he is doing since I am able to make this comment!!
