Dr. Pirani was not my primary Urologist at his group practice, however he was on call when I had my second prostate operation by one of his associates. He visited me in my hospital room during my hospital stay when the operating urologist was NOT on duty. He was very personable and took his time to answer my questions as well as to talk to me about my condition. He also shared information with me about what he had seen duing my anasthesia administration that had NOT worked. (I had a failed spinal and had to then have general anesthesia--this was the SECOND failed spinal by the same physician)  One of my best male friends had a prostate biopsy by Dr. Pirani and sees him on a regular basis and has had only good things to say about him.

I would NOT reccoemend this physician to others-- I though him self serving and he suffereed from Selective Memory. He did NOT offer proper counseling to my friend who had prostate cancer or offer follow up help when post surgical trouble happened. It took 2 years for my friend to finally get the help he needed.
