Comments for Dr. Jyoti Patel

I have been a regular patient here for several years. The entire office staff is *extremely* rude and the nurses minimally knowledgeable about general medical issues, even when the patients (including myself and my observations of many others) are being exceptionally nice and respectful to them. You can never call and actually speak to a healthcare professional, and the receptionists say only that it is necessary for you to do so, even for something as simple as scheduling an appointment; you are always required to leave a voicemail. Then they take several days (and, on one occasion, over two weeks) to return your telephone calls. They are most uncooperative about completing anything other than regular payment (obviously for their benefit) paperwork for insurance purposes and oftentimes will leave this up to you (without even providing you with the necessary paperwork or doctor's signature required for your claim). I rated the overall doctor and office combined at a 3 only because I do believe Dr. Patel is knowledgeable about medical conditions; but she has *never* in all the years I have been a patient actually recommended any sort of therapy for me other than prescriptions for pain medication when options such as physcial therapy, hydrotherapy and the like were both available and appropriate. Unfortunately, the only reason I have remained a patient here is because there are no other pain specialists in this area.
