Dr. Brenner is a hand and wrist surgeon. My husband had a horrible accident with a table saw. He self-amputated his little finger to the second knuckle and cut open his ring finger, to the bone. The injury was on his dominant hand. His fingers were an absolute mess. In fact, they didn't even resemble fingers when the ER doc removed the makeshift bandage that my husband had wrapped around what was left of his fingers. Thankfully, Dr. Brenner was called in by the ER doctor and he did a magnificent job on my husband's fingers, particularly since this injury was so severe. Dr. Brenner is kind, compassionate, funny as all get out, and a magnificent hand surgeon. We were very fortunate that he was called in, as I had no idea of any good hand surgeons since this is one of the few specialists that we had not had occassion to need. I highly recommend Dr. Brenner. Since I wrote this review, I had a problem with my left/dominant hand. It was so painful that I could neither grip nor use my hand for anything. Of course, with the stellar job that he did on my husband's self-amputation and mangled fingers, Dr. Brenner is the doctor whom I chose to see. He correctly diagnosed my problem as a ruptured tendon, treated me with cortisone injections, and thanks to him, I have the use of my hand again. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone needing a hand surgeon/specialist. He was extremely expensive ( nearly a thousand dollars for the x-rays and cortisone injections), but highly competent. If you don't have good insurance, you could probably not afford this doctor, but if you do have good coverage, he's the one to see. |
