14yr. old male, potential broken nose . Dr. Dennis assessed the nose, sent him for Xrays. Radiologist told us the nose was not fractured and the swelling would subside in about a week. Upon return from Xray, Dennis did not discuss the Xrays with us (because he knew the nose was not fractured when he looked at them), but immediately told me his nurse would be in to schedule him for surgery. I said but according to the radiologist, his nose is not broken, he did not even look at me but said we would still do the surgery and left the room. I was in disbelief that he would schedule an unnecessary surgery. I am grateful to the Radiologist for his time and honesty, otherwise I would be paying for a hospital stay and putting my child through a surgery he did not need.
