This doctor operated on me 12 years ago (Breast Imp. Replacement) and I was left with keloid scars 3-4 inches long that were raised, red.  I had her cut/revise the scars and asked her to use the same sutures that Dr. Grossman used for my mastoplexy years prior hoping they would produce the same good results.  She agreed but charged me $500 in addition to the revision charge to use them; my results were the same anyway. I let 10 years pass before I made the mistake of going to her again since one of my implants was leaking (saline).  This brings me to the nightmare I'm still living as I write this 5 months later.  Along with my implant replacement and scar revision, I had a mid-face lift that she suggested for my nasal folds; the neck was part of this procedure that she said I would have a faint line under the chin.  It never crossed my mind to do anything for my neck but she pointed it out to me the excess skin; she showed me her small, faint scar under her chin so I agreed.  Some filler would be needed she said for the nasal folds.  She charged me $24,000 for this which I paid and was scheduled for surgery three week later.  My surgery was scheduled for 7:00am so I showed up around 6:30am with my husband.  The building was dark so we waited in the car until we saw a light go on and then walked to the entrance door-it was locked.  I started knocking and eventually a person in scrubs came to the door and asked who I was and she didn't recognize the name.  I explained what I was scheduled for and she told me that they moved my time up to 11:00 so Dr. Henry could do TWO breast augmentations before my surgeries.  She went on to say she would 'call' me when they were ready for me.  My husband and I left stunned and now I'm really anxious!  It's not everyday you make a decision to have your face and breasts carved up!  I got a call around 10:45 that 'they were ready' for me.  Dr. Henry came into the room dressed in scrubbs from her morning surgeries already looking tired and I confronted her about her office not contacting me about the change.  She apologized and I said 'I don't want you to hurry', it was a Friday afternoon. That's why I scheduled first patient in the morning.  She said she would take care of me and not to worry. When I awoke from my surgery the nurse was in a hurry to dress me and she said my husband was on his way.  I felt like a truck hit me and this 'nurse' is hurriedly trying to dress me; I was barely coherent.  I asked if I could go into a recovery room for a few minutes but she said they didn't have one(it was Friday afternoon remember).  She pinned a drain (I've never had one before) under my shirt; I asked for a bandage for my face and she said I would have to pay for one.  My husband arrived moments later and Dr. Henry poked her head in, said a few words and left.  I've been under anesthesia many times before and always got the time to recover enough to feel good enough to leave but not this time.  My husband got me to a bed and I layed there with my medicine and some water on my bedside table.  My husband went into another room to sleep, he was recovering from a bicycle accident.  I couldn't sleep, even with the post-anesthesia, valium, vicodon, ambien that was inside me.  In the early morning hours, my head started swelling; it swelled to the point that my mouth would barely open because it was stretch so wide. I looked at the drain under my shirt and the drain had very little blood-it was not draining.  I called Dr. Henry's number and left a message.  When she called me back, I told her about the swelling and she said to go to the ER at hospital.  My husband took me and an intern accessed me and he told Dr. Henry I needed immediate attention so he opened all the sutures and started pushing on my face; I could feel and hear the blood and clots coming out.  Dr. Henry showed up later and she asked if I had taken ibuprofen.  I hadn't taken anything on the list I was given the day I scheduled my surgery (3wks) and I told her that.  She asked me again and I said no; she rushed out of the room brought papers for me to sign (I can't read without glasses) and they rushed me into the operating room. Three days later I leave the hospital.  Dr. Henry said that 3 Ibuprofen I told her I might have taken EIGHT WEEKS before surgery was the cause of my hematoma.  I know the drain was not working, no one mentioned what I needed to do with the drain so it would function.  The hospital bill was $34,000 and five months later, my breasts looked butchered and under my chin is full of lumps; the scars behind my ears again are all raised, uneven and red.  I've been to four doctors trying to find help.  They know who they are and everyone of them were disturbed by everything they see on my body. Maybe there's no hope for me but if this posting will steer one person away from Dr. Kimberly Henry, I will have done my part. She had one office when I first met her in 1993 and now she has 3, in three different cities; she has completely transformed her appearance with PS. Don't be fooled by her plush offices, etc. She's in it for the $$$. Chose another doctor--she's uncaring and in my opinion, a butcher.

I took care of a friend who had surgery with this doctor and also developed bleeding complications after surgery with Dr. Henry. Basically, Dr. Henry blamed her for the complications. Also, when my friend needed more 'touch-up' surgery, her staff was very pushy in demanding her payment at once, or they wouldn't schedule her surgery.

After meeting Dr. Henry and her staff, I convinced my friend to see another plastic surgeon for her touch-up surgery. Although the second surgeon was very careful with his comments,  I could tell he did not think Dr. Henry's facelift techniques were that great.

I agree with desha, don't be fooled by this doctor's fancy offices. The main goal of her office staff is to get patients to sign up for surgery and collect their money. As far as the doctor's appearance, she herself has had so much surgery she looks like a plastic Barbie doll.

My first questions is:   Why would anyone EVER consider a plastic surgeon that has botched and abused her very own face to such a great degree?  I saw her in a boutique in Marin County long before I knew who she was and was horrified by the obvious tight and overdone plastic surgery.  I thought. 'what doctor would perform such a surgery?'.  The woman clearly has personal issues, dangerously low self-esteem and what appears as an addiction to  surgery as her face shows signs of multiple procedures.   I find it inconceivable to believe that she is a plastic surgeon.  I had considered another plastic surgeon in the area for facial peels.  Recently he moved his practice to hers and they share the same office.  Now I will not set foot in his practice, I am so disappointed he is afilliatated with her.  She is a disgrace to the medical profession and if I wasn't angered that she demands so much money from patients wanting to feel better, then I could feel sorry for her.  She's a mess.    Just last week I hearda from another PS that she had recently gotten into trouble for a violation of botox use - maybe illegal?  Not surprised.  I hope you're feeling better.
