This man is a disgrace to the field of psychology. He has had innapropriate sexual relationships with his patients, AND in one case the wife of one of his patients. During the course of his 'affair', (he is married), he shared personal and identifiable information about his patients with the woman he was sleeping with. (yes, she was a patient). Because of the unethical and illegal things he was doing, the police came knocking on my door, the police also questioned other patients of his. The police found our names and our diagnoses through the patient he was sexually abusing she finally figured out that she was being abused and was strong enough to contact the police. In Connecticut, it is considered sexual assault in the 4th degree to have sex with a patient. The police wanted to know if he was abusing other patients as well. Currently, the State Of Connecticut is trying to take away his license; hopefully they will be successful as this man is a threat to anyone who seeks therapy.

All of this is public knowledge, and the information can be obtained by going to the Connecticut Court Case Look up website, put in his last name..bingo. Then, go to the CT department of Public health website, and do a search, BINGO; you too will see that this man should not be practicing psychology.

Unfortunatly, Reuben Spitz also serves on the Board of Directors for Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London Connecticut. A postition I hope is taken away from from once the board learns of his criminal, immoral and unethical behavior.
