2007 I called for an appointment with Dr. Wolfe and told the person with whom I was speaking that I had three small ailments to discuss with the Dr. When I got to my appointment, I also told the nurse I saw about the three small but troubling things I was visiting for.

The doctor was hostile when I brought up a second issue after she had spent about 2 minutes looking at the first problem and declaring it something that didn't need any treatment.  The second ailment, according to her, was also nothing.  She spent about 3 minutes on that one.  When I brought up the third, she actually looked at me with contempt and told me it better be a short question because I only had fifteen minutes.  I was so intimidated.  I wish I had spoken up for myself, but in the midst of the situation, I was thinking that I had only paid a $15 co-pay for the visit and I was just getting what I had paid for.

I left that office very upset.  I was feeling terrible physically and I got treated like I was stupid for even coming to a doctor with such petty problems.  I had already visited this doctor once for an exam and did not like the experience, but I assumed it was because either the doctor or I was having a bad day.  I should not have doubted that first impression I got.
