Not given I chose this doctor, William Reed, because he accepted my insurance plan. What a mistake. I went to the office complete with my MRI. The doctor showed up almost two hours late! I spent 40 minutes of this time in a room with nothing to read but thier marketing information. I finally gave up and headed for the front waiting room to wait. The nurses admonished me on the way that I should stay in the exam room. Friendliness was not their strong point. Well, they finally called me back into the exam room where an assistant eventually showed up to take information and to do a rudimentary exam (more than Dr. Reed eventually did.) When Dr. Reed finally came into the room, his only comment was 'some days just get away from you' - no apology for the 2 hour delay - nothing. He did not go over my MRI with me at all. He recommended I get steroid shots in my neck to alleviate the pain. Here is when it got exciting. After he recommended the shots I told him that that was good news since his decison was in agreement with my neurosurgeon, Dr. Frank Holladay, who I heartilly recommend to everyone. Dr. Reed went into what I would call a tirade about orthopedic surdeons being more qualified than neurosurgeons. Boy, was I glad that I didn't mention him earlier in the long, long process! I told him that I felt that neurosurgeons had better detail skills. His reply was, and I quote, 'How much detail skill do you need with a spoon?' We rapped up our time together and I informed the front desk that I would never, ever come back!

2008 I would not recommend this doctor or his group to anyone.  The entire office was rude, unfriendly and generally not nice people.  The doctor was the same, after waiting for over an hour in the main waiting room then almost another hour in the second, he walks in with a phone stuck to his ear, doesn't introduce himself or even make eye contact.  The Dr then recommends I get an MRI  of my lower back and come back which I did the same day.  He views the MRI results without me and never explains anything, at all.  Never shows the MRI to me with any explanation, even after I requested him to show me what my problem was.  His answer was 'here is your MRI', as he hands me a disc, and says 'you can see for yourself'.  This happened on my follow up visit about 6 weeks after the first appt.  I am currently trying to find another doctor who will review my MRI and explain the next steps to making my back pain go away or atleast manage it.  I have explained what happened to my friends and family and they can not believe a person who is a so called professional would treat any patient this way, beware of Dr William Reed, Orthopedic Surgeon in Kansas.  Oh, his office staff was just a bad, must trickle down from the top.

i think tuttle had a personality conflict with dr,reed.i was a patient of his for a brief time.he seemed to be concerned about my ailment but was not overly interested or friendly.he told me what the condition was and referred me to another physician for treatment.i think tuttle was over critical of dr.reed and his staff.
