Dr. Paul Pietro MD has excellent skill sets, but unfortunately both he and his office manager's lack of emotional intelligence and managerial competence will hinder the success of his Miami practice. 1) Dr. Pietro did NOT take my patient history during my first or second visit and he provided me with incomplete first visit test results. 2) CIGNA did not recognize him as a PPO network provider for my first and second visit. Despite my immediately calling his office to inform them of this error, they chose to ignore the problem and insisted on charging me the full retail amount. After five subsequent claim re-submittals by me, CIGNA provided a corrected EOB statement showing Dr Pietro's in-network status and the reduced patient cost responsibility. Despite this CIGNA correction, his office manager still refused to charge me the reduced amount. 3) During this 11 month period, his staff had called me on many occassions threatening me with collections action and litigation. 4) In November, I was officially dismissed from his practice -no reason provided. Still pending despite many requests by me and CIGNA are my credit balance refund, my corrected patient invoice and the results of my June, 2005 test results. LADIES, PLEASE - STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRACTICE AT ALL COSTS! |
