My experience with this doctor was not what I expected at all. The receptionist is short and cuts you off...doesn't really have a pleasant voice and rarely says goodbye...just hangs up the phone when she is finished talking. The nurse was not very helpful in relaying information to the doctor and didn't seem to care much about my concerns.....very cold. The waiting room is outdated and not very clean. I have been trying to get a referral to a specialist, which hasn't happened. I already saw her a week ago for a referral and she expects me to make another appointment to speak with her again about it in more detail before she can make that decision....what? Just last week she said that all I had to do was make an appointment with a specialist of my choice and she would send over the referral for me. It's amazing how things we discussed can change in a week. My specialist said that this shouldn't be happening and offered to call my doctor's office to see if she could help me with a referral. She said that she has never heard of a doctor denying a referral that a patient needed and expecting them to come in for a second time....a week later to discuss it again. The doctor will not return phone calls, you must make an appointment, pay a co-pay in order to have a conversation with this doctor. The office argued with my specialist who was trying to help me to get a referral. I was later told by two other doctors offices that this doctor isn't known for being professional or ethical...they have also heard other complaints about her and stated that her entire office is predjudice towards particular races/nationalities. I just changed my primary care physician today, which couldn't have come a moment sooner. I feel such a relief that I don't have to deal with this doctor or her team anymore! I sincerely hope that my experience will be of help to others. I have never been treated so poorly by a doctor before and hope that nobody else will have to experience anything like this.

You have got to be kidding me! Dr. Carter is one of the best doctors, ever. She is warm, kind, compassionate and down to earth. I never feel rushed in her office and, somehow, I never wait. The night she had to confirm my miscarriage, she sat on the phone with me making sure I was okay. I was referred to her by a variety of people (different races, genders and backgrounds) who RAVED about her. I am constantly referring people to her and recently heard she is not accepting new patients. Hopefully, the fact that this diva is gone will open up at least one slot!
I agree with verypleased, some people just expect to be treated like they hung the moon and are upset when they are treated like regular, everyday people.
I hope your other doctors' offices can back up their statements. I believe her husband is an attorney and it certainly sounds like slander to me.

I read the previous comment and was just appauled by the misjudgement of this person. I personally believe that 'some' people state certain things ONLY because they have been given the opportunity. I have had NOTHING but WONDERFUL experiences with this doctor and her team. They are extremely courteous, the office is super clean and they are indeed friendly. People have a tendency of walking into the office and stating their demands without being courteous themselves,a dn then they get bent out of shape, when the get treated the same manner. If you want to be treated right, then you too must make an effort. The doctor in this office, helps and ALWAYS, ALWAYS return calls when called upon. Her staff is super sweet and always ready and willing to serve.
I recommend this facility to anyone who is in pain and in need. You will not be disappointed.
