Dr. Raymond Poliakin, M.D. demonstrated extreme insensitivity and arrogance on several visits. The last was the icing on the cake: I was in a lot of pain and requested that he simply call in a prescription for a diagnosis already in my charts. Not only did the nurse never bother to offer me an appt (as this was a matter of urgency) but the doctor refused to call in this prescription (a non abusive type of medication). And, he NEVER BOTHERED TO RETURN MY PHONE CALLS, despite repeated attempts!!! Even worse, he had his assistant return my after-hour call (as I was pleading for relief!) with a flat refusal of help. She was just as insensitive and unhelpful.

On an earlier visit a year ago, I went in to discuss a very personal matter. He made me feel humiliated and completely unwelcomed -- almost an intrusion in his busy schedule!

I've spoken to other people in Thousand Oaks who have also received the same treatment. I think this office has too big of a workload and the doctor has lost his sense of compassion somewhere between medical school and today.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention: He almost missed the delivery of my second child! (running down the hallway in the hospital to show up on time)
