Not given I had a torn rotator cuff which he repaired 2 years ago. I am going to a new doctor next week as it has never gotten better. The entire process was unpleasant as one time he was nice and friendly and the next he would be dismissive and not be interested in explaining and answering questions. I am claustrophobic and can't do the closed MRI. He told me the results of an open MRI weren't readable and wouldn't take them. finally, almost a year later when my shoulder wasn't any better he finally agreed to the open and the surgery was within weeks but it was delayed all that time. He gave me a prescription to which I had a violent allergic reaction to the point my internist wanted to hospitalize me and he blew me off about it. His list of physical therapists was 10 years old and I wanted specific info on them which he dismissed as they're all the same. The Center for Joint Diseases was not a pleasant experience either and the nurses were awful. I had knee surgery 6 months later at St. Luke's Roosevelt and it was night and day! I have been looking for someone else to go to and just found a new doctor. I will never go back to him or even tell him why because I don't think he even cares. I thought he had a huge ego and I felt like I was on an assembly line for the surgery.
