Dr. Cohen is an endodontist and he saved my husband's tooth that a general dentist and a periodontist said must be extracted. He saw us the day after we called (while we were in his office, he saw two emergency patients, also) ... he was very open to discussion of the situation and was excellent in giving us his opinion and an idea of what we could expect for the life of this tooth ... he was able to do a root canal that same day, which was wonderful for us because we live four hours away. The procedure was done under local anesthesia and was entirely painfree ... recovery was painfree, also, because he starts his patients on OTC pain meds (ibuprofen and acetominophen) before they leave his office and instructs them to continue the meds every six hours whether or not they feel discomfort for the following two days. His office is a very restful place and his staff is well-trained and attentive. I almost want to have my own root canal!! :-) |
