I know that many think Dr. Takhar is uncaring and in a rush.  I also do believe that she doesn't spend quite enough time with her patients compared to the Doctor that she replaced (Dr. Ford, who was AWESOME!)  However, she does know what she's doing, if you ask for a 15 minute appointment when you book, she will sit down and give you the time.  Every time I book now, I ask for a 15 minute appointment, that way I can ask all the questions I want answered (and I write them down before I go, so I don't forget anything).  She isn't so good with names, but with three practices and an overload of patients, I don't expect her to (however, she always remembers my sons name and ALWAYS says it wrong! =) )

I think, overall, she is a good doctor and is trying her best to help everyone have a doctor and be available (hence pushing to open the after hours later into the eveing and walk-ins on saturdays)  She's always available and you can get an appointment next day if you really needed (there are always spots left open for emergency appointments).  I've even called to come in on the same day!  The front desk girl could use a friendliness makeover, but other than that, the office staff themselves are great (the nurse with the dark hair is SOOO nice!!)  The program that they use (which they purchased from a Cambridge company to support the community) is awesome!  They have everything there IN the clinic so that you don't need to make another appointment elsewhere to have blood taken, ultrasounds, xrays, etc... even the Pharmacy has reasonable dispensing fees! And again, it's RIGHT there!

The only thing that I wish they had, were more comfortable waiting room chairs!
