Dr. Benoit was the medical director and attending physician at my mother's nursing home. For 6 months I tried to get him to talk to me (I was her health care proxy) and failed. I finally had to switch to another doctor when my mother was in great pain. Her pain was quickly determined by her new physician to be emanating from a broken vertebra, which Dr. Benoit had failed to diagnose. One year after her death, Dr. Benoit then sued me claiming I had failed to provide him with her insurance information. I won the case when I showed the judge her admission form which had her insurance information clearly labeled. In my experience, I found Dr. Benoit to be neither accessable, honest nor competent.

I waited 6 months for a pysical Exam. I arrived on time for my apt and was told that my $20 co-pay had to be received before the doctor would see me. The office person was very short and not pleasant. I explained that I had forgotten that they do not take my WageWorks Visa card and could I mail in the check. I was told no. They actually let me walk out because of this, and knowing that I have health issues. I am mortified over this treatment. I have Tufts HMO. I left a message that afternoon and never even got a return call.
