2007 In August, 2007 I completed a whitening process for the teeth in the office of Dr. Lamar Lane, D.D.S., Little Rock.  He specializes in state-of-the-art applications for the teeth along with regular dentistry.  He first measured my teeth, ordered thin white porcelain shells called 'lumineers' (2 week delivery), then bonded these shells to my original teeth.  Finally, I have white teeth after trying every other process available!  Processes I have previously tried included white strips, an in-home U.V. light device, trays with gel, a paint-on application, and a so-called 'zoom' treatment done by another dentist to bleach the teeth.  Nothing worked until now.  Dr. Lane knows his stuff and claims to be one of the few dentists who follows the special training for this lumineers process to the 'T'.  He and his staff are very personable and are not plagued by other patients who need attention at the same time you are getting this process done.  It is an all-day process and is expensive.  However, it is worth it.  Plus the bonding substance assures that the original teeth are stronger and less vulnerable to decay.  Dr. Lane also replaced a metal crown (which no other dentist would touch) by creating a white crown with the same super-strong white bonding agent used for lumineers, a bonding agent he says is relatively new.  I understand he can do additional things like inject substances to eliminate lines on the face as well.  Hats off to Dr. Lane for willing to have the patience to learn these new techniques so desirable to persons like myself anxious to try the best and least painful procedures to look better.
