Dr. Stricker is a rare specialist. He oversees patients with immune system deficiencies such as HIV. To say the least, most patients who go see him are in desperate need.
Unfortunately, he seems to profit highly from this and takes advantage of people like me. He rufuses to accept health insurance anymore, he charges $600 for my 1st consultation and $300 for follow-ups. The staff were very unsympathetic of my condition when scheduling me. I told them i was in great pain, their response: ' Our next opening is in 2 months, would you like to make an appointment. We would need to collect a pre-charge for the first appointment for $300 as a deposit.' Are you kiddin me!! When asked why he does not accept health insurance anymore, his response was that he likes to be independent. I think he meant to say filthy rich. This doctor has taken advantage of me!! Oh yeah, he had no good advice or treatment options.
