If you want a stress-free experience having a baby, DO NOT go to this doctor. She has an 'F' with the BBB. Several patients including myself are having problems getting money back from her office after the insurance already paid her. (she gets double-paid and makes it close to impossible for you to recover your money.) although some people say she was always rushed--she wasn't with me. However, she failed to let the correct people know what problems I had during delivery, and I ended up being quite 'torn up' AFTER the actual delivery, and was told to wait years before trying to conceive again. I've been told by a lot of people to sue her for malpractice, but it is so horrible, I don't want to live it over and over again and have to deal with the process. Look her name up in Yahoo answers. Look her name up on Yelp. This doctor and her office are not up to par, and have business practices that are plain unethical. I am complaining to the medical board about her, as suggested by another patient. save yourself the heartache. find another doctor. |

Please ladies, go to straight to the best, Cedars, and don't subject yourself to Dr Lapesarde. I was really surprised by the contradictory reviews of her on this site and have to wonder if she switches personalities between patients or something..?!
Here's what happened to me....first of all, her manner was always abrupt, rough, a little aggressive. I felt as if I was both a time waster and also really physically vulnerable being looked at by her, even though I normally walk about naked in the Korean spa with the best of 'em! Athough I was very clear about the fact that I don't react well to drugs, she first gave me some unnecessary potassium pills to take about my concern that I might be getting more body hair, BEFORE the tests came back that I had no hormonal imbalance. So I felt sick for nothing....but still, I gave her another shot.
Second time round I had some mild pelvic pain and so she prescribed a drug which gave me really bad side effects over a weekend. Nausea, sensitivity to light, really scary. I wanted to stop taking them, but was worried about not completing the course. So I called the helpline and she called me back and WOW was she rude! She yelled WELL JUST STOP TAKING THEM and then IT'S THE WEEKEND, I AM LEAVING FOR TENNIS NOW and pretty much hung up. I couldn't believe it! My bf called his dad, a doctor, and we found out what to do that way. I got a much milder prescription and was ok.
BUT I guess I still wanted more of the demon Lapesarde touch, 'cause I went back a final time in a vain attempt to get shot 2 of the 3 shots I had paid for IN ADVANCE of that new cervical cancer shot, Gardasil. They didn't have any (though I'd called ahead loads of times) so I asked for my my money back so I could get it elsewhere. They said no, call the biller....
Well, that was a year ago. I left that practice pretty soon after and went to Cedars where I have been very happy. I tried calling the biller a few times to get the $300 but got nowhere. Finally my bf got angry for me, and he has been calling them about every three weeks FOR A YEAR asking for the check. Today they were rude to him and hung up on him.
We're going to find out how to get our money back from these people somehow.
Anyway...a long story to say.....I don't know what's going on at that place but I really do suggest anyone reading this doesn't take a chance on the borderline personality of Dr Lapesarde.
