I liked him when I first met him, but when I expressed dissatisfaction with my results (smart lipo on upper arms) he sold me a Thermage procedure. Again, I expressed my dissatisfaction after that procedure, and he started to get edgy with me, trying to convince me the results where acceptable to him. Who cares if it's acceptable to him? He doesn't have to walk around with big, flabby arms that are out of proportion to his frame. He explained in doctor terms why I shouldn't have expected the circumference to be reduced. Isn't that why people choose lipo, to reduce size? When you remove fat (volume) from a flexible vessel (skin surrounding the fat) you'd expect a reduction in size, much like removing water from a filled-to-capacity water balloon. Nope. Now all I'm left with is half-filled water balloons for arms. Thanks alot, Dr. Gray. His office staff and nurses, are very nice. But after talking to the nurses, I get the feeling they don't always believe his BS either.

I cant believe what I have done to myself and my self esteam by letting this man touch me. I will never feel or be the same. I had a TT performed with mucle tightning and my bellybutton was done at a later time (it does not look anything like a bellybutton) I dont understand why my original bellybutton was not used? Also, my muscle came undone and I hardly have any pubic hair left. I plan on taking action.

Actually I am need of help. I am going to be picketing in front of his office in the next couple of weeks and I am creating a website in protest of him. There are many ways evryone could help 1. Financially because the website costs money to maintain, the signs costs money to be made and I pay a sitter while gone 2. If you or anyone you know has experieence with web design that would be great. 3. File a complaint (that is so important). 3. Call 96.3 and tell them to stop advertising him. This is all just a start and please pass this along. I am not someone who does nothing, so whether I have help or not I am committed to getting the word out about this man.
Find out if you need a permit from the city to picket and verify your rights and responsibilites, so that he can't have you arrested or slapped with a restraining order. Contacting a lawyer is a great idea.
There are many rating websites maybe you don't have to create your own website, just rate him wherever you can.

Hi everyone, I am very concerned and can't sleep at night about this doctor. I waited close to 2 hrs to get looked at, and he seemed very disoriened, like he was very nervous and didnt know what to do. I am a very skinny girl, and i had just had a baby and he had suggested to do my breast augmentation over the muscle and only give me 250cc. (which the doctor who i actually had the surgery BOARD CERTIFIED!!, said that that would have been very ugly results. SHe gave me 400cc and under the muscle). Many of her reconstructive surgeries were doctor gray's patients. I backed out of the surgery with doctor gray, because i found out he wasnt board certified and he lied by responding yes, i am (very tricky) and the fact that he wouldnt do my surgery under the muscle and he was going to use a very small implant so i would be unhappy with the results and would come back to him for more surgeried. And he is trying to still charge me for 4,000!! dollars, eventhough no surgery was performed. And the surgery that he would have performed would have left me very unhappy, rippling, and possibly disfigured at 22. I need help from other people who have had problems with this doctor. PLEASE ASAP, because i dont want this to happen to anyone else!!!!

I have already paid to have my surgery with Dr.Gray and my appointment is fast approaching. Now I am worried. I did not know he wasn't board certified??? Who did you do your surgery with in the end? I would like to speak to this person about Dr. Gray's work. Did this Dr also do a Tuba procedure (through the belly button) on you? Have you heard many negative comments from other patients about Dr.Gray? I am very afraid now, please any advice would be much appreciated.

The only way to find out if previous complaints have been sent to the state is to write the FOIA Coordinator. You can't look that up on line. I believe to receive disciplinary action the doctor must be in violation of the Michigan Public Health Code.

It's hard to know who the problem doctors are until you're the one making the complaint. I'd like to see things change in Michigan.
Dr. Gray IS NOT BOARD CERTIFIED IN ANYTHING!
Also,there have not been any complaints sent into the state as of yet according to my Attorney. Everyone who is complaining needs to get up off your ass and send one in including myself.
A couple of people sent me a private message but I was away on vacation and then accidently deleted them. Please email me again and I will give you my phone #.
Oh one more thing, your first step is calling and getting your medical records from him and dont take no for an anwser they are your property by law!

This doctor is someone I would definitely not recommend. He should be handed a class action lawsuit based on results. I laughed when I read where a woman supposedly got a hold of Dr. Gray at 3:00 in the morning. When I was hemoraging, I couldn't locate him to save my life let alone to answer some little question. |

I wrote the same thng some time back (but as the FRIZZ--couln't remember my password so I re-registered as oneangrymom).
I will call the news. I support your effort to do something about this man, and will do whatever I can to get him 'outed' and stop him from butchering any more women.
I wish I knew of a way to get in touch with more of his patients so that we could get more dissatisfied patients to help with this effort. If anyone has an idea, let us know. I think I will contact a lawyer friend of mine and see how he thinks we might be more successful.
Here's a chance for women to unite and do something constructive about a horrible man.

You can contact www.michigan.gov/bhser/ to file a complaint with the Michigan Bureau of Health Services.
Under the Freedom of Information Act you can write to the Michigan Bureau of Health Professionals at, PO Box 30670 Lansing, MI 48909-8170 to see if any other complaints have been filed with the state.
If the local media won't do a story about this doctor see if they will do a story about doctor rating websites. Don't forget to contact your local paper.

I went to Dr. Gray for breast augmentation eight years ago. Fast forward to the present and I have just spent $10,000 and 5 hours of surgery to have his work corrected. I was told that over the muscle was the way to go. This resulted in terrible scar tissue. Bad enough that my insurance would pay for it. He never told me that over the muscle implants are much more likely for this complication. Also, by going through the belly button (not approved by FDA) he voided my implant warranty. Nice. Also, he suggested a size based on what I said I wanted (full c) and I ended up with breasts that were way too big for my body. Nice. I carried these breasts around for 8 years. It was embarassing. I was ashamed of myself. Now I found a wonderful board certified surgeon (Gray is not even a cosmetic surgeon, just a DO) who fixed me. .I just found out all these things about Gray, such as no hospital admitting rights so if you have a complication in surgery, he'll have to call EMS. No plastic surgery specialty. I am mad at myself for not doing my homework but when I saw him on TV and heard him on the radio I figured he must be good. Shame on the media outlets for promoting this guy. It really has caused me a great deal of misery, not to mention money.

Very well said! You brought up some important points that I failed to mention in my post. I have taken my daughter to three plastic surgeons to get opinions about correcting the HORRIBLE job that Dr. Gray did.As I mentioned, he has disfigured her. The second doctor shared the information about the belly button procedure...that it is not approved, and that it voids the warranty on the implants. I feel the same way you do about the media promoting this man. I wrote to a couple of the magazines that had promoted him, and one of them wrote back to say that they did not promote him, but he had paid for a two page ad in their magazine. He displays these in his office as though they are endorsements. I wish I could get all the women he has disfigured together and bring a class action suit against this man. It seems so disgusting that so many women have had to spend so much money to fix what he has done, and that insurance does not reimburse this. He is a man with no scruples, no conscience, and he should not be allowed to practice anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't imagine how he sleeps at night. He's a monster!

Although Dr. Gray has reasonable prices, I wish I could say the same for the results. I found out that this man is not a 'board certified' plastic surgeon and has no hospital priviledges anywhere. This doctor did a poor job and performed an inadequate job and I was unable to reach him when complications arose. Do your research on this doctor before you have him do any type of procedure. He downplays the risks of lipo as if you are just having your hair done. Trust me, there is more to it than that. As far as his staff goes, they are very gossipy and just goes to show you that client confidentiality must not mean very much if they talk about the doctor in front of patients.
