I've been seeing Dr. Mariotti since she started in Royal Oak and all I can say is she's great. I've referred several friends and family members to see her and they've all loved her. The other reviews on this site of Dr. Mariotti make me laugh. They couldn't be more wrong. I think some people aren't used to a doc that isn't just going to hand out antibiotics and who runs on time and expects you to run on time as well.

Over the years I've seen Dr. Mariotti she's gotten busier and it's harder to get a same day appointment unless you call right when they open. But I'm told by the staff that they do leave a set number of appointments open each day that are reserved for same day calls. And if you call right away when they open you have a good chance of getting in.

Here's a list to help people decide if Dr. Mariotti's right for you (in my option):

- If you like a doc that sees you with in 10 minutes of your appointment time.

- If you are the type of person who can show up on time for your appointment time.

- If you don't want a doc who over books and actually will spend time with you.

- If you want a doc who's not going to just give you antibiotics and kick you out the door but actually treat your problem correctly

- You want a doc who talks to you like a normal person. My dad went and saw her and said it was the first time he left a doctors office less confused then when he went in.

Here's a list to help decide if Dr. Mariotti is NOT right for you:

- You think it's ok to show up 30 minutes late for your appointment and still be seen (I did this once and they turned me away but I understand that I was late and missed my time, so I wasn't mad.  And I think if you don't show up without calling they'll charge you a fee.  So be warned)

- You want to go to a doc where you can tell them what they should do and they'll do it. When I first saw her I thought I needed antibiotics but Dr. Mariotti explained why I didn't and I'm the smarter and better off for it, too many docs just hand them out like a cure all.

So if you can't tell I really like Dr. Mariotti. I'm sure she can't make everyone happy and there will be people that just won't like anyone they see. But I LOVE her and everyone I've referred to her has LOVED her.

P.S. Dr. Mariotti loves dogs! (and just got a cat too) It's worth going there just to see the HUGE pictures of her pets!
