Dr. Thein has all the modern tools to do proper dentistry, but his bedside manner is lacking. The doctor and the hygienists do not tell you what is going on and surprise you with instruments in your face. Granted, I'm a difficult patient and have a low tolerance for pain, but as I was squirming in the chair making noises and crying, Dr. Thein did not offer me anything for my pain. I had a simple procedure but now that there is a problem, he has referred me off to another dentist and wants nothing more to do with me. All I asked for was some communication. To tell me what he was doing in detail and listen to my concerns. He seemed too busy to do either. If you want an efficient, quiet, aloof dentist that shows no emotion, he's the dentist for you. If you are even the least bit skiddish and need some patience and understanding, in my opinion, you should steer clear of this dentist. On the flipside, the front office manager is amazing. I could talk to her about my issues and she seemed to care and listen with complete empathy. |
