Not given I imagine she'd be a very good doctor to take your teenage daughter to for birth control issues or to help you deliver your baby in the safest and best way possible; but she is not a good doctor when it comes to female problems related to ovarian cysts, Endometriosis, and the like.  She refuses to do necessary tests and procedures stating that you are 'too young' and she dismisses any mention of a diagnosis as 'you are too young to have that.'  I have a severe case of Endometriosis and I've asked to have it lasered away only to be told that 'There is no need for it; you are too young.'  Since when do doctors decide when we are too old or too young to be taken care of properly?  Since when do doctors tell us how to feel?  This doctor also does not make referrals to outside specialists.  She told me that ' Endometriosis doesn't hurt' and that it was all 'bowel related.'  She told me to go see a GI doctor to rule out IBS, Chron's Disease, and Ulcerative Colitis.  She refused to write a referral to back up her claims that my pain was not endo related, but bowel related.  I had to find my own doctor and explain why I was coming in for an appt. only to have receptionists drone into my ear that when an OB/GYN--or any doctor for that matter--sends a patient outside of his/or her office for extended tests and services provided by a specialist that that doctor is to write a referral and send copies of the patient's medical file to be reviewed.  I was tested in ER for IBS, CD, and UC, and none was found.  Now that that has been ruled out, this doctor is trying to tell me it's all in my head.  I wonder how she enjoyed retracting those words when she saw the pictures of the Endo wrapped around my bowels, bladder, kidney, abdominal wall, uterus, and ovaries.  I think she felt a little stupid.  But if you want a good baby doc, or a teeny bopper doc, she is the one to go see.  But I wouldn't go to her for treatment of infertility, endo, ovarian cysts, or cancer.... you'd probably be told 'you're too young to have that.'
