On the 18th of march I had an appointment with Dr Gilbert at 4:30pm. I checked in at 4:15pm and was called back to Dr Gilberts office at 7:30pm. This was my first visit with Dr Gilbert, I waited in his office another 30min along with my wife. Dr Gilbert walked in and introduced himself. And said I know you, I explaned to him that I had just moved here from Pensacola, Florida and I was sure that we had never met. This question and answer time went on for about 10min over my name and if we had met.

Dr Gilbert stated sir you look like a picture of health and your chart is so small you must not have many problems. I said to him once again Dr I am new to this area and thats a new chart, but here is a copy of a MRI that I have with me. Now Dr Gilbert had no idea that I had already been to Mayo Hospital a year or so before walking into his office.

Nov 23, 2003 I was in an extremely serious car crash, and was recommended in 2007 that becasue my condition was getting worse for safety reasons becasue of falling down wile trying to walk that I be confined to a wheel Chair.

The day that I went to see Dr Gilbert I used a cane to get around, I did not feel like loading the wheel chair that day, Dr Gilbert looked at my MRI and said I am so sorry to see you have a serious case of Arthritis, I looked at him and said excuse me, I have what? He said it once again. Now I had an idea of just how good a Dr he was after saying that. I have the L-3 L-4 L-5 Crushed and it very hard for me to walk, and if I do walk its very slow. This was all on the MRI!

Now he says I see you suffer from Depression also, I said well yes I do becasue I feel most of the time less then a man. He said well we are going to get you off the Depression Meds and hands me this paper and says read it and it should help cure you. Now on this paper are bible verses and I am thinking to myself there is a time and a place for this and this is not the place to be handing out bible verses.

Oh I also noticed Sir you have High Blood Pressure and your on Meds for that aslo. I said yes the Dr in Florida put me on them, Dr Gilbert said we are going to be taking you off them also.

But I need for you to start doing some excrcise, and I said to him I can hardly walk and you want me to do excrcise? And he stands up and shows me deep breathing and hip twists, my wife stood up and said before I lose it with you and tell you just how rude you are to my husband I am going to walk out. And the Dr opens the door for her.

When I did my best to explain anything to Dr Gilbert he did not want to hear anything I had to say at all. I said to him I have been without Pain Meds now for quite some time and he gave me this look of, Oh my god you want pain meds? And he explaned to me that he would give me the meds but on our next visit we would start taking me off most of my meds.

This is a Dr who talked down to me and never heard a word I had to say to him as well as he knows nothing about reading MRI's or he would have not questioned why I was in pain in the first place. I would not take my dog to this Dr much less go see him again myself.
