This woman was my doctor for 12 years.  I had an undiagnosed thryoid problem the entire time.  I would not have said Joan Brunfeldt was a great doctor, but before I was aware of my thryoid problem I did not have any complaints about her.  Brunfeldt perceived that something I told her was a lie and she slandered me to another doctor who then falsified my patient record to support her. 

Dr. Deborah Hall took the information provided by Joan Brunfeldt and released it to my employer and I lost my job.  I was unemployed for 27 months because my employer was slandering me with the same information that came from Joan Brunfeldt.  I visited four attorneys, filed a complaint with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts, and the Office of Civil Rights and none of them would do anything.

Basically, Joan Brunfeldt violated HIPAA under 45 CFR § 1320d-6 and got away with it.  I still have some open complaints that may expose this woman, but I will not drop this until this woman is criminally charged.
