Dr. Berman, although a little gruff sounding at times, was a very kind dermatologist.  He's been practicing medicine forever, so he knows his stuff.  He wrote me a prescription for a medication and told me to call him in 2 weeks to report on if it had helped.  When I called back, I spoke to a member of his staff, who took my name and number, and assured me Dr. Berman would call me back at the end of the day.  Dr. Berman called me back a few hours later and we discussed the medication and progress.  He advised me on how much longer to use the medicaton for and told me to come back to see him if the problem returned or a new one arose.  Dr. Berman clearly loves dermatology and loves when his patients get well.  I only had to wait 1 week to get an appointment with him, and once I was there, I could tell that Dr. Berman is one of those doctors who truly cares.  If he didn't love his job, he probably would have retired by now.
