I was not diagnosed due to his reluctance to call in another dr. and by the time he did (at my husbands demand) I had been semi-comatose about 10 to 14 days. The new dr started meds IV did a spinal and ordered tests done. Ten days later I went home. Complete recovery took another couple of months. I had some short term memory loss and had problems with math and speech for word recall.
